Bali is known in the entire world for many things but principally for its beautiful beaches all around the island. You might have heard about Kuta, Seminyak and all the beaches in those areas. But many beaches on the island are much as beautiful as those mainstream beaches and less crowded; these are some little pieces of paradise that you have to visit.

Padangbai
A lovely village where people usually come to get a boat to Lombok. But spending a night or two here will certainly not be time wasted. There are good diving and snorkeling spots in the area, and a number of operators are present to cater for those activities. Accommodation tends to be quite basic, but it is a good way to be in the heart of the local culture and being surrounded by a beautiful landscape.

Amed
Amed was first known in the island for its traditional salt farming, which is still existing. Now, it is known as one of the best spots for diving. Indeed, the limpid water is perfect for admiring the underwater treasure that Amed owns, coral reefs and colorful fishes. Amed is close to other fishing villages that spread all along the coast and they also share great panoramas that are worth visiting.

Padang Padang
Located in Uluwatu, in the South of Bali, this beach is accessible down a flight of stairs through a hollow rock entrance which creates an exotic atmosphere. This is a beautiful and sweet beach with white sand and clear water. Padang Padang is also known as a great spot of surfing for advanced surfers.

Pantai Soka
Soka Beach is a magnificent beach with black sand and green surroundings. Vast rice fields and lush coconut groves enhance the beautiful scenery. Moreover, later when the sun is about to set, the view on top of Pura Luhur Serijong is comparable to the view in Tanah Lot. If you want to discover a little more of the local culture, you can join the local fishermen while they are sailing to the sea, using traditional boats.

Green Bowl
Green Bowl Beach is one of Bali’s most secluded beaches. Located approximately 75 meters under a verdant cliff in the village of Ungasan, it is a small coastal strip of white sand. There are two large caves that enclose small rock shrines and provide shade and shelter. The clear water is perfect for snorkeling, and the constant waves are great for paddle activity. A little piece of paradise hidden in Bali.
