Bali accepts flights from 19 countries, with 5 day quarantine

Flights from 19 select countries are allowed to fly directly to Bali

One week following the announcement of Bali airport’s reopening, Indonesia’s COVID-19 Task Force issued a new regulation which adds 14 more nations into the list of countries that can make direct flights to Bali. Non-essential travelers flying from countries listed below are permitted to go on holiday in Indonesia provided that they comply with the government’s provisions and will undergo 5-day quarantine upon arrival, which we’ll talk about further.

Here’s the list of countries that can make direct flights to Bali as well as the Riau Islands:

  1. Saudi Arabia
  2. United Arab Emirates (UAE)

Quarantine duration shortened to 5 days

Travelers are still required to present their vaccination certificate, PCR test result (up to 72 hours before departure), and proof of booking at a hotel/residence for the quarantine process upon arrival. The new regulation shortened the quarantine duration to only 5 days, and travelers must undergo PCR re-testing twice during this period (on arrival and on the 4th day of quarantine). All quarantine and testing expenses are paid by the traveler.

The following are additional provisions that foreign travelers must comply with:

  1. Short Visit Visa or other entry permits in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
  2. Proof of ownership of health insurance with a minimum coverage value of USD 100,000 which includes financing for COVID-19 related expenses.
  3. Install and use the PeduliLindungi app on their phone, which can be downloaded here.

Those who do not possess a valid visa can apply online, while KITAS or KITAP holders aged 12-17 who have not been vaccinated in their home country can be vaccinated in Indonesia after their second PCR test. The cost of visa application with an agent ranges between USD 350 to 500 depending on the services provided, please contact us for more information on this.
